About Pacific Air Flight School
Pacific Air was created by a small group of professional flight instructors to provide the best one-on-one flight training in Southern California. Our personable and professional flight instructors are here to train you to be a safe and proficient pilot... all while making it a memorable and fun experience!
Generally speaking, many instructors only instruct as a gateway to get to the airlines. If you are stuck with an instructor who's motives is to get out of flight instruction, then you will likely get an instructor who isn't dedicated. Pacific Air Flight School has instructors dedicated to fit your needs. Our goal is to be with you until you earn your wings. When training students, our instructors focus on the following 3 things: maintaining a high level of safety, keeping it fun, and making it easy! You can rest assured that training with Pacific Air Flight School will make you a safe pilot, while sharing a few laughs along the way! We sure look forward to flying with you!
We are unlike many flight schools out there. Our independent flight instructors are professionals who are dedicated to making learning to fly safe, fun, and easy! We currently train students out of Long Beach Airport, through our affiliates, Aces High Aviation. However, through special arrangements, flight training at various airports is a possibility. Please inquire for more information.
About Miguel Puente
I have devoted my life to aviation. Ever since taking an introductory flight in high school, I have been involved in all aspects of flying, allowing me to fully understand the way the industry works. From flight instructor to airline pilot, the various types of flying have helped me become a professional when it comes to flight training.
I have been working as a flight instructor for eight years, teaching over 100 people to become safe pilots and accumulating thousands of hours as an instructor. I started Pacific Air after working for several flight schools and realizing that many students weren't getting what they signed up for. Flying is suppose to be a fun experience, and flight schools generally focus on business rather than keeping the students happy. Whether you train with me or one of our other highly qualified instructors, my goal will be to ensure you become a safe pilot and have fun in the process.
I have always put all my efforts into developing an easy learning system that allows students to absorb all the knowledge required for their training. Whether it's learning the basics of a private pilot or learning the systems of a regional jet, my training systems will help you learn tough material in no time! By incorporating popular mnemonics, memory aids, and using helpful diagrams, you will notice that learning a difficult subject will be easier than you thought. This finally led to the creation of AvNotes, a simple study guide that allows students to learn and memorize the fundamentals of the subject.

• Certified Flight Instructor: Airplane (CFI)
• Certified Flight Instructor: Instrument (CFII)
• Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
• Extensive international experience (Canada, Mexico, & the Caribbean)
• Type-Rated and experienced in an Embraer 145 Regional Jet
• Pilot-In-Command experience in a corporate King Air C90 airplane
• Extensive experience as an instructor for private individuals, as well as foreign, airline-bound students
